Details: We are seeking a highly motivated professional who is looking to take the next step in their career as a Senior Analyst for the Costing Modelling and Cost Recovery team in Digital Canberra (DCBR).

The successful applicant will be responsible for handling significant quantities of invoicing for a range of complex ICT services. Additionally, there is an expectation that all members of the Costing Modelling & Cost Recovery team can provide ongoing advice in relation to the cost recovery of ICT services. The successful applicant will assist to drive the development, maintenance and implementation of financial policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of services and business improvement activities in DCBR.

We are looking for self-motivated individual who can absorb information and learn new skills quickly, operate well under pressure, and excel when given the freedom to deliver on tasks with limited management guidance. This role will suit someone who enjoys a high level of variety or who has a natural affinity with IT, with the role focussed on supporting the ACT Government’s complex and constantly evolving IT environment. The successful applicant will join a tight-knit team and contribute to a positive culture that supports continuous improvement.

The successful applicant will assist with driving improved financial literacy through the delivery of coaching to staff, and training on financial principles more broadly across DCBR.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

  • An ACT Government CMTEDD Baseline clearance is required for this position.
  • Completed or working towards a degree with a major in accounting, business informatics, finance, data science, statistics or mathematics is desirable but not essential.
  • Completed or working towards CAANZ or CPA Australia membership is desirable but not essential.
  • Two years relevant experience in an accounting or data analytics environment is desirable.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately until 31 December 2025 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.

A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
