We are seeking a motivated and innovative Senior Finance Officer to join our Strategic Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who likes exploring new ideas, enjoys improving business processes, leveraging technology and data, and working collaboratively to deliver better organisational outcomes.
In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing Digital Canberra's financial systems, reporting capabilities and business processes. You will help maintain and improve critical finance systems, including TM1 and Power BI, support the development of practical solutions to business challenges, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen financial management and decision-making across the Directorate.
Working closely with executives, managers and stakeholders, you will build strong relationships, provide high-quality advice and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, governance and business performance. Your ability to combine analytical thinking with a customer-focused approach will help drive meaningful improvements and support the delivery of strategic priorities.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline is desirable.
- Professional membership in CIMA, CPA or ICA, or progression towards, is desirable.
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of six months with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
