Details: Wanniassa School is seeking a dynamic hands-on Director Safety and Operations to join our team. If you are a proactive leader with a genuine passion for WH&S, facilities management and supporting children and young people, we want to hear from you! In this role, you will provide strong leadership and strategic vision, working collaboratively with principal, staff and stakeholders to enhance learning outcomes for all students.
Wanniassa School is a small vibrant P–10 school operating across two campuses; Junior Campus P–6 and Senior Campus 7–10. Eligibility/Other requirements:
- Drivers Licence with Class C is essential.
- Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registrations refer to - Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra.
- Evidence of completion of training delivered by a Registered Training Organisation for Asbestos Awareness, White Card and Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention is required prior commencement. For further information refer to: WorkSafe website and Access Canberra.
- A pre-employment medical clearance is required prior to commencement. This assessment is at the cost of the Directorate and not the applicant. If/when a request for registration is in the final stages of completion, contact will be made with the applicant to organise the medical assessment.
- Mandatory Training in other WHS procedures may be required during employment: for example, Working at Heights, Sharps.
Note: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
