The Education Directorate is seeking an Assistant Director, Strategic Procurement & Licensing Support to join the Strategic Procurement team. In this role, you will be a key point of contact for procurement advice and/or Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) licensing as well as other contract management matters, supporting staff and stakeholders across the Directorate. You will provide clear, practical guidance while delivering high-quality, customer-focused service to a broad range of stakeholders, including Education Support Office staff, schools and community organisations.

The Strategic Procurement team provides a dedicated and central function for goods and services procurement for the Education Directorate, supporting procurement and contract management across ACT public schools and the Education Support Office, while ensuring compliance with legislation and consistency in best practice.

Eligibility/Other requirements:  

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications would be highly regarded (i.e. Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting) or similar).
  • Experience in contract management and/or licensing, or within property management in a government context, would also be an advantage.

Note:  This is a temporary position available for 12 weeks with the possibility of extension up to six months. This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only.

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
