Details: The Risk, Security and Emergency Management (RSEM) team within the Governance Branch, is seeking suitable individuals to apply for the Project Support Officer (PSO) role. The PSO is an active member of the RSEM team, undertaking a range of administrative functions to support the team managers to achieve their service delivery goals. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated member of the team, required to multi-task and actively engage in range of situations where problem-solving and managing complex and sensitive issues with discretion and confidence is required. They will also be an active contributor to the incident and emergency management response and planning capability.

The successful applicant will be competent in Microsoft Office (including Teams and SharePoint) and manage the RSEM inward and outward facing content and assist in the drafting of documents and provide project management support. Working in a faced-paced agile environment, the PSO is an effective communicator and team member with strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills, networking with key internal and external partners.

This position participates in activity based working arrangements and flexible arrangements may be discussed with your supervisor/manager.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. Experience in the areas of risk, emergency management or protective security will be highly regarded.

Experience in electronic management system such as TRIM, Wire or Objective will be an advantage.

Driver’s licence is desirable.

Note: This is a temporary position available from 7 July 2025 for a period of 12 months with the possibility of permanency. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
