Details: The Education Directorate is seeking to fill a key senior role in our Communications and Engagement team.
The Director, Internal Communications and Creative Services, leads the internal communication strategy and channels that support all ACT public school staff. They are also responsible for leading the team’s creative services, ensuring design work is prioritised, aligned to strategy and of a high quality.
We are looking for an experienced leader to work to deliver innovative and engaging communications and design solutions. You will need to be able to provide professional guidance and creative direction whilst ensuring effective and consistent use of the ACT Government Branding Guidelines.
You will also be responsible for working closely with a skilled content writer and digital team to deliver internal communications and school-based resources to support public school staff. You will need to think strategically and have exceptional written and verbal skills as well as the ability to collaborate within key business units.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Qualifications in the fields of Communications and Engagement are highly desirable.

Note: This is a temporary position available 1 July 2025 until 1 November 2025 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
