Details: The Buildings Performance Policy team within the Planning and Urban Policy division are seeking applications from highly motivated individuals to fill the role of Senior Policy Officer.

The Buildings Performance Policy team within the Building, Design and Projects Branch is a dynamic multi-disciplinary team responsible for the development of buildings policy and programs focussing on sustainability, productivity and cost of living outcomes. The team develops policies and programs to support the achievement of efficiency and cost savings, through upfront, construction and operational phases, and the ACT Government’s legislated emissions targets through the building and construction sector.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Highly desirable;

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent industry/professional experience in building sustainability and performance, emissions reduction, climate change or a related field, such as architecture, urban planning etc.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately until 30 June 2025 with the possibility of extension up to less than 12 months and/or permanency. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position is located in a workplace designated for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future vacancies over the next 12 months.
