Details: The Heritage Policy Coordinator will drive the development and delivery of a heritage policy framework including procedures and templates. It supports the implementation of the heritage reforms and internal business plans. It has a key role in conjunction with the ACT heritage team in implementing policies, undertaking community consultation and monitoring the effectiveness of public guidance, understanding and acceptance of heritage policies and procedures.  

The coordinator reports to the Director Governance and Reform and works closely with the ACT Heritage managers and the the ACT Heritage Council and its Taskforces.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:

  • Skills, experience and qualifications in a heritage related field are highly desirable. Heritage related fields include cultural heritage management, archaeology, architecture, history, Aboriginal history and culture, landscape architecture and conservation management.
  • An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill similar vacancies over the next 12 months.
  • Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
