Details: Children, Youth and Families (CYF), Relationship Management is at the centre of The Health and Community Services Department’s (HCSD) sector partnerships, with Relationship Managers the trusted partner and coordination link between community partners and other parts of HCSD. Relationship Managers work alongside an organisation and their associated HCSD contracts, requiring the Relationship Manager to have a broad understanding of human services.

The functions of Children Youth and Families, Relationship Management include, ensuring effective relationships with the Out of Home Care and community sector and providing feedback regarding performance and procedures to continuously improve CYF service delivery.

The Relationship Management Director role is responsible for providing strong leadership and is responsible for establishing and fostering a partnership relationship with HCSD funded community partners. The Director role is also focused on strategies to ensure CYF has the capability to meet statutory obligations and deliver on our strategy of creating a continuum of care for our clients, managing community relationships through contract management and promoting continuous improvement of service delivery.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or experience relevant to the role. Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Procurement/Contract Management or related disciplines desirable but not essential.
  • Experience and/or a desire to work in a community services environment and or management of government contracts is essential.
  • Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police Check
  • Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.   • Australian C class driver’s license is essential.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency. A merit pool may be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
