Details: An exciting opportunity awaits to join the Child Development Service (CDS) as a Clinical Leader - Physiotherapy.

The Health Professional 4 Clinical Leader role is focused on providing strong leadership to build an integrated multidisciplinary team that supports effective service delivery and has a strong skillset to lead through change. The individual in this position will provide leadership and management to a multidisciplinary team of health professionals and allied health assistants who deliver services to clients of the Child Development Service.

The Clinical Leader will maintain a clinical load, and also undertake other duties which include administration, coordination and oversight of professional practice, and supervision and performance management of a team of physiotherapists. Eligibility/Other Requirements:

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy.
  • At least 5 years’ experience delivering Physiotherapy services, with a high level of expertise in early intervention.
  • Current Registration as a Physiotherapy with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency-AHPRA.
  • Current Australian Driver’s license Class C.

Highly desirable:

  • Experience in the planning, delivery, and oversite of early intervention programs
  • As this role is likely to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and young people, cultural awareness, and capacity to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is highly desirable.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency.

A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
