Details: The Health and Community Services Directorate (HCSD) is seeking an experienced and collaborative executive to lead our Communications and Engagement Branch. This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role within a directorate at the forefront of delivering services, shaping policy and improving outcomes for the ACT community.

As Executive Branch Manager,Communications and Engagement, you will lead a contemporary, audience-focused communications and engagement function that connects government with the community. Working closely with Ministers, senior executives and stakeholders across government and the community sector, you will provide strategic advice on complex and sensitive issues, lead high-profile communications initiatives and ensure meaningful engagement informs policy development, service delivery and decision making.

As a member of the Directorate's senior leadership team, you will influence how some of the ACT Government's most significant health and community initiatives are communicated, understood and experienced by the community. You will champion an audience-first approach, build organisational capability, foster a high-performing team culture, and ensure communications and engagement activities are evidence-based, impactful and aligned with whole-of-government priorities.

This role also plays a critical part in emergency and recovery communications, requiring a calm and strategic leader who can navigate complex environments, provide trusted advice and deliver clear, timely information when it matters most.

Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $296,877 - $306,035 depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $261,668.

Contract: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
