The Government Procurement Board, established under the Government Procurement Act 2001 and Regulation 2007, provides strategic direction for procurement across the ACT. Its functions include reviewing prescribed procurements and practices, making recommendations to Territory entities, endorsing practices, advising the Minister, and recommending directions under section 43 of the Act. The Board also governs the Procurement Accreditation Program – Goods and Services. It comprises a Chairperson (non-public employee), Deputy Chairperson (public employee), three public employee members, and four non-public employee members, bringing expertise in areas such as project and risk management, finance, construction, law, ICT, health, community services, civil engineering, and private or not-for-profit sectors.
