Details: Are you a strategic communicator with a passion for infrastructure and community engagement?
Infrastructure Canberra is seeking a dynamic and experienced communications professional to lead stakeholder engagement and strategic communications across some of the Territory’s most significant infrastructure projects.
You will play a key leadership role in shaping how we communicate with the community, government partners, and industry stakeholders. You’ll work closely with project teams, contractors, and the broader ACT Public Service to deliver best-practice, audience-led communications and engagement strategies.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a proven track record in stakeholder engagement and strategic communications.
- Can lead and inspire a small team to deliver high-quality, impactful work.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Brings a strong understanding of contemporary engagement practices, including IAP2 principles.
- Can confidently navigate complex stakeholder environments and provide sound, strategic advice.

Eligibility/Other requirements:
Desirable:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or a minimum of five to eight years’ experience working professionally in the fields of communications, community engagement, public participation, or marketing.
- Experience working on large infrastructure projects.
- Trained and certified in International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) or equivalent best practice community engagement.
- The ability to work flexibly with some out of hours work.
Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
