Details: The Venues team sits within Infrastructure Canberra in the Community and Government Engagement branch and is responsible for the management and operation of a range of community facilities across the ACT. These venues play an essential role in supporting community connection, service delivery, and accessible spaces for local groups, organisations, and the broader community.
We are seeking a motivated and community‑minded professional to support the day‑to‑day operations of the Griffin Centre, a vibrant and diverse community hub, and, over time and subject to business needs, contribute to venue support across other community facilities such as the Gungahlin Community Centre.
This role provides the essential front‑of‑house presence for the Griffin Centre, ensuring tenants, hirers, visitors, and community members receive high‑quality customer service and timely support. You will manage room booking enquiries, administer booking processes, coordinate operational requirements, and ensure the venue remains safe, functional, and welcoming. The position also provides administrative support to the broader Community and Government Engagement team.
This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same. It requires someone who is organised, adaptable, proactive, and confident working both independently and as part of a team. You will be the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, contribute to efficient venue operations, and support the continuous improvement of systems and processes.
The Community and Government Engagement branch is committed to delivering high‑quality services across ACT Government venues and supporting positive community experiences. Our teams work collaboratively to ensure safe and accessible facilities, strong stakeholder relationships, and responsive customer service.
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, veterans, younger and older workers, and people with diverse genders, sexes and sexualities to apply.
