The team works closely with government directorates, contractors and service providers to ensure public assets are maintained, compliant, safe and fit for purpose.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Procurement Coordination Officer to join the Property Maintenance team. This role supports the procurement and contract management of maintenance, construction and trade services that enable the effective operation, maintenance and upgrade of ACT Government properties.
Working in a fast-paced operational environment, you will assist with the coordination of procurement activities across the procurement lifecycle, including planning, market engagement, tender processes, evaluation activities, contract establishment and mobilisation. You will work closely with project managers, technical specialists, contractors and internal stakeholders to deliver timely, compliant and value-for-money procurement outcomes.
You will also contribute to procurement governance, reporting, contract administration, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring compliance with ACT Government procurement policies and legislative requirements.
What we are looking for

- Has experience in procurement, contract management, construction, maintenance or service delivery environments.
- Can build positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and service providers.
- Has strong attention to detail and can manage competing priorities.
- Can prepare and coordinate procurement documentation and support tender evaluations.
- Is committed to quality service delivery, continuous improvement and sound governance practices.
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, veterans, younger and older workers, and people with diverse genders, sexes and sexualities to apply.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Experience in drafting procurement documentation, coordinating procurement activities, and undertaking tender evaluations in a government setting, ideally in the context of property and building management services.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, preferably in a service-delivery environment and attention to detail in data entry, analysis and reporting
- Relevant training and/or qualifications in procurement, contracting or property management are highly desirable.
Note: This is temporary position available immediately for a period of six months with the possibility of permanency.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
