Details: The ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA) is seeking applications from highly motivated, experienced, and detail orientated individuals to fill the position of Senior Inventory Parts Interpreter. This role is critical to ensure the effective management of inventory and spare parts required to support the operation of the ESA Workshop which maintains a complex fleet of frontline emergency service vehicles.

This role will be required to assist in the development, maintenance, and modification of a complex computerised inventory management system as well as manage inventory stock levels to ensure stock holdings are sufficient. This includes receiving parts into stock ensuring proper storage, record keeping, and appropriate manual handling practices are used.

This role will also involve administrative duties including purchase order and invoice processing to ensure accurate and timely payments to suppliers and assist in the procurement process and management of supply contracts.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

  • A ‘C’ Class Driver’s licence is essential.
  • Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration (act.gov.au)
  • Relevant industry experience in automotive parts and accessories, warehousing or vehicle maintenance fields is essential.

Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position does involve direct supervision of staff.
