Details: The ACT Government Solicitor (ACTGS) is seeking applications from motivated and committed self-starters to fill the position of Senior Executive Assistant.
This position provides high level executive support to the Solicitor-General and the Deputy Chief Solicitor. To be successful in the role, the Senior Executive Assistant is required to exercise a considerable degree of independence and sound judgement. The Senior Executive Assistant is also required to deal with sensitive issues and have the capacity to continuously prioritise matters.
The Senior Executive Assistant liaises with stakeholders at all levels within the ACTGS and the ACT Government and must maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion, respond quickly to business needs, and adhere to tight timeframes.
Competitive candidates will demonstrate excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, the ability to provide excellent support to executives and work flexibly within a team environment. If you possess these skills and exhibit strong attention to detail, as well good judgement in a variety of situations you should consider this role.
Eligibility/Other requirements:
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo a National Police Check.
- The successful applicant must be available to commence in their new role within six weeks of acceptance of offer.

An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
