Details: ACT Corrective Services are seeking applications from a highly motivated and values-driven professional, to fill the position of Senior Director, Organisational Capability (SOG A) within Operational Support. This is a temporary vacancy available from 8 November 2025 to 27 June 2026.
The Senior Director of Organisational Capability leads organisational development and staff capability initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This role oversees three key teams: Custodial training, Community Corrections and Offender Reintegration training, and Design and Development & Specialist Training, including responsibility for the organisation’s RTO registration.
The position drives high-performance practices to enhance workforce capability, service quality, and organisational productivity. The position provides management of the ACTCS training budget.
The Senior Director works closely with divisional leaders and strategic partners to shape workforce planning, learning priorities, and capability frameworks.
To be successful, you will have a demonstrated knowledge of workplace training and assessment, be able to work collaboratively and possess exceptional interpersonal, organisational and communication skills necessary to build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Further to this, you will have demonstrated experience in managing a high-performing team with the ability to develop and maintain a positive team environment and to demonstrate sound judgement and motivate staff working in a high-pressure environment.

Eligibility/Other requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in training and assessment, design and/or development are highly desirable.
- Leadership and/or management qualifications will be highly regarded.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Police check.
- This position requires a pre-employment medical.
- To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.
- If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
