Temporary Register Details: People who are interested in temporary employment within Legislation, Policy and Programs are invited to submit their curriculum vitae for placement on a Temporary Employment Register.

The register will be used to select staff for temporary, short-term engagements or for special projects on either a full or part time basis. Roles will be filled based on operational requirements and the business needs of the organisation.

Applicants will only be contacted if a vacancy arises suiting their skills and experience. ACT Public Service terms and conditions will apply to any employment.

This is a temporary employment register that will be used to fill full-time and part-time Administrative Service Officer Class 6 to Senior Officer Grade A. It will be used to fill non-ongoing vacancies from a few weeks up to six months only.

There is no guarantee that an offer of employment will be made while an application remains on the register.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

  • To be eligible for temporary employment you must be in Australia on a visa with working rights, be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • All new employees to the ACT Government are required to undergo an Australian Federal Police National Police Check. The check assists in determining the suitability of applicants for employment.

The register is valid until 30 June and 31 December each year. To remain on the Register, you will need to re-apply.

  • contact details of two referees, one being a current or previous manager/supervisor
