Details: Legal Aid ACT is seeking a suitably qualified person to fill a newly created Disability Justice Liaison Officer role as part of our commitment to partner in the Disability Justice Strategy.
The successful applicant will work with legally impacted persons with a disability and their families to navigate and support them through the legal system, including building organisational capacity to better meet the needs of persons living with a disability.
Eligibility/Other Requirements: Lived experience of disability is highly desirable including being a person with disability, a supporter of people with disability or having significant experience in understanding issues experienced by people with disability. Prior to commencing in this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 may be required.
