Details: SLA has a collaborative and high performing Executive Support team whose primary function is to support SLA’s CEO and Executive in the delivery of SLA objectives and to meet stakeholder and two Ministers Office expectations.
The Director Ministerial and Government Reporting provides high-level administrative support to the SLA Executives, the Senior Director Office of the CEO, and broader the organisation to ensure the coordination and management of all Ministerial, Assembly and Cabinet business.
The position requires highly developed written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving ability. The position requires the ability to operate with a high degree of independence, personal drive and integrity and the ability to consistently display high quality customer service practices and resilience, whilst managing a constantly changing high pressure environment working as an effective team member.
The position requires an ability to critically examine, quality assure, and/or prepare high-level briefs and other strategic communication correspondence, including other Ministerial items such as briefing material and agendas, ensuring accuracy whilst managing issues of sensitivity and confidentiality.
The Director Ministerial and Government Reporting also works alongside of the SLA Governance team to lead and coordinate the SLA Statement of Intent and Annual Report and ensures the maintenance of records in accordance with the Territory Records Act 2002, enabling safe and secure records management transfer and storage.
Eligibility/Other Requirements: Highly Desirable
- Experience in the prioritising, coordination and management of Ministerial, Assembly and Cabinet business and high-level administrative support of a Division and its Executives.
- A demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships, particularly with Executives; DLO’s and Ministers offices.
Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
