Details: The Assistant Director, Management Accounting plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive financial feasibility assessments and detailed financial analysis across the Suburban Land Agency's portfolio of land development projects throughout Canberra.

The position is responsible for managing and monitoring project budgets, forecasts, revenues, and expenditures, while working closely with Project Directors to identify, assess, and mitigate financial and commercial risks.

We are seeking a motivated and proactive professional who can quickly establish themselves in the role and make an immediate contribution. The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience in project accounting within a commercial environment as well as the ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Eligibility/Other requirements: A full member of, or working towards, either Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA ANZ) is highly desirable.

Notes: This is a temporary position available from 7 September 2026 to 22 September 2026. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. This position is designed for activity-based working (ABW). Officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
