Details: The Suburban Land Agency is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and drive outcomes across a portfolio of urban development and renewal projects within the Land Supply Group to meet the ACT Government’s Indicative Land Release Program (ILRP).

Working under the direction of the Program Director, the successful applicant will contribute to a dynamic and complex program of works related to the investigation and identification of potential urban development areas, due diligence activities, site specific planning, and strategic and advisory services for land suitable for consideration in the Indicative Land Supply Program (ILSP) and ILRP that can be identified and agreed by the ACT Government’s Land Supply Committee and SLA Board.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, self-motivated, and possess high level communication skills to negotiate and influence positive outcomes. They will have significant experience coordinating projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget, identifying potential issues and develop proactive solutions, build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, and influence decision-making processes to achieve favourable outcomes for the Territory.

The Project Manager will work closely with internal SLA Place Delivery Teams as well as other ACT Government Directorates, industry and the broader community to create communities that are vibrant, connected, inclusive, resilient, and healthy urban places.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

The successful candidate will have prerequisite qualifications and/or experience:

  • hold a relevant professional qualification or accreditation with a professional body recognised within Australia; or
  • hold a relevant building degree; or
  • have significant building or Infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience

Notes: This temporary position is available from 8 September 2026 for a period of seven months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
