Details: The Emergency Services Agency is seeking applications from motivated, experienced, and suitable individuals to perform the role of Senior Director, Emergency Communications and System Assurance. As the Senior Director, Emergency Communications and System Assurance, you will lead and shape the future of emergency communications by managing key relationships with Digital Canberra (DCBR) and a diverse network of stakeholders.
You will oversee strategic assurance activities and audits, ensuring communications and critical systems consistently deliver exceptional levels of availability, redundancy, security, and operational effectiveness. A key part of your role will be shaping and continuously improving business continuity plans, ensuring that all ComCen systems, equipment, training environments, and backup sites operate seamlessly—24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Eligibility/Other requirements:
- This position is a Designated Security Assessment Position. The successful candidate will be required to acquire and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 Security clearance.
- The occupant of this position will be required to undertake part of the duties outside normal business hours and on weekends in response to emergencies.
- Drivers licence ‘Class C’ is essential.
- This position does not require a pre-employment medical.
- This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
Note: The occupant of this position may be required to undertake part of the duties outside normal business hours and on weekends in response to emergencies. Additional hours worked will be remunerated in accordance with the relevant Enterprise Agreement.
