ACT Long Service Leave Authority
Details: The Long Service Leave Authority (ACT Leave) is a Statutory Authority of the ACT Government responsible for the administration of portable long service leave benefit schemes for covered industries within the ACT.
Our vision is to make portable long service leave universally understood and recognised as an important and accepted part of the employment landscape. Our activities are determined by the Long Service Leave (Portable Schemes) Act 2009, and we are governed by a Board of Directors appointed under the legislation. ACT Leave is headed by the Chief Executive Officer and Registrar, supported by an Executive Team comprising the Deputy Registrar, Chief Operations Officer, and Chief Finance Officer.
As the Senior Client Services Officer, you will be responsible for supporting team success. Under the direction of the Client Services Manager, you will contribute to the work of the team and ensure every client receives the best possible customer service. This combined with your expertise in understanding and applying legislation will ensure excellent results.

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a New Graduate Exercise Physiologist (EP) to join the University of Canberra Hospital (UCH) Exercise Physiology team in 2027. As the only dedicated HP1 EP position within CHS, this is a unique opportunity to gain experience in a public health hospital setting.
You will work in a growing and dynamic health service that is committed to providing state of the art services to Canberra and the surrounding regions.
The Exercise Physiology team based at UCH provides Exercise Physiology services to UCH inpatient rehabilitation wards, Brindabella Day and Ambulatory Rehabilitation Services (BDARS) outpatient rehabilitation clinics and the UCH Hydrotherapy service. About the Roles:
Community Health and Integrated Care (CHIC) deliver integrated and effective rehabilitation, aged care and community-based services across a broad range of sites throughout the ACT. The CHIC Psychology and Counselling Team provides evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention and consultation services across both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting individuals with complex health, rehabilitation, ageing and chronic pain needs.
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team. About the Roles:

You will provide care to clients engaged in inpatient and ambulatory rehabilitation, aged care services, and the Pain Management Unit, supporting individuals to achieve improved health, wellbeing and quality of life.
In this role, you will apply your clinical knowledge and skills across a diverse range of presentations, delivering both individual and group-based interventions. The Canberra Hospital is a major teaching centre for the ACT and surrounding regions and is strongly associated with The Australian National University Clinical School. The Department of Paediatrics provides general paediatric services to approximately 450 in-patients and 1800 out-patients each month. The Department is staffed by staff specialists (11 FTE General Paediatrics, 2.3 FTE Endocrinology, 0.8 FTE Gastroenterology and General Paediatrics, 0.6 FTEs Respiratory and General Paediatrics), a General Paediatric Senior Registrar, 12 Registrars and 10 SRMO/Residents. The Canberra Hospital has 44 in-patient paediatric beds (High Care, Medical, Adolescent and Surgical) and a busy 15 room outpatient department. It also has an eight-bed Hospital in the Home (HITH).
The Department of Paediatrics is accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and is a site for the RACP Fellowship clinical examinations.
The Senior Registrar position incorporates three roles: clinical, leadership and education. The Senior registrar is expected to provide support and supervision to the junior medical staff. This involves administration/management duties, teaching, education and research, quality assurance and conflict resolution. Resources and time are provided to allow the fellow to carry out research and Quality Assurance activities. The successful candidate is encouraged to pursue their clinical interests with clinics in General Paediatrics, Endocrinology and Diabetes, Gastroenterology and Respiratory Medicine available. Opportunities exist to attend other visiting subspecialty clinics.
Participation in a well-supported on-call consultant roster is expected, with first-on-call with the Staff Specialist Paediatricians in a 1 in 6 capacity.

The ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA) and its ACT Rural Fire Service (ACTRFS) Requires people to be involved in monitoring fire tower-based cameras or resource a fire tower during high fire danger weather, undertake fuel curing analysis to help determine the risk to the ACT, and manage the roadside signage trailers that help inform the community of the fire risk.
We have both seasonal and casual Fire Tower Operator/General Hand (FTOGH) opportunities available throughout the expected bushfire period. The Fire Tower Operator/General Hand will commence on or close 1 October 2026 and cease on or before the 31 March 2027 and will undertake training at the start of this period.
The ACT fire tower Cameras are located in remote areas of the ACT and as part of this position you will need to be able to navigate across steep fire trails, access towers and be comfortable working in remote areas at height. You will work variable hours at times that will change dependant on Fire Danger Ratings throughout the bushfire season and you will regularly communicate within our Communications Centre.
Keeping our community safe as a FOGH may require you to work outside normal business hours, on weekends and to participate in an out-of-hours on-call roster, but overtime and shift penalties will be payable. You will be provided with training and a uniform will be issued to you.
